Outdoor area

Skagenhaugen has a large and private outdoor area that borders the sea in three directions, consisting of both established garden (lawn) and hill/wild nature with fantastic view to Lofoten and the ocean.

In the garden, there is a lawn, a hammock, and rowan trees, along with 5 terraces, 1 covered outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and wood-fired pizza oven, outdoor furniture for various occasions (dining, relaxing, chatting, fire pit, enjoying the view and nature, etc.). The outdoor furniture is arranged to suit different sun and weather conditions – but they are also movable according to preference! There is a fantastic view in all directions with exceptionally good lighting and sun exposure.

Continuing from the garden, there is a path leading up to our own hill/wild nature. Here, it is very beautiful, and you have a 360-degree view – towards the Lofoten Mountains, Møysalen (the highest peak in Lofoten and Vesterålen), and towards the ocean (Greenland next!). Bring a thermos and a seat cushion and enjoy the view from the bench up there. Or borrow a hammock from Skagenhaugen, find some trees – and enjoy the view, or also bring a sleeping bag and spend the night up there under the midnight sun!
